What is Form CSR-1?

Form CSR-1 is the mandatory MCA registration every NGO must hold before it can legally receive CSR contributions under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. Without it, a company cannot book the donation as a valid CSR expense in its MCA annual return.

Why It Matters for Your Company
  • CFO / CA can book the payment as a compliant CSR expense
  • Appears in the Board's CSR Report and MCA Annual Return
  • Protects the company from regulatory penalties
  • Required for all CSR spend by ≥ ₹10 crore net-profit companies
